Let it Rain...

Oh No. I want it to FLOOD with Rain. I have never watched any of his too cute to be real series, but Ninja Assassin is the shitz!! Rain, you got me. You got me good the moment you lay those fingers on that bed of nails and flexed you abs. I was so glad the lights in the cinema were dimmed or everybody could see my crimson cheeks! Now I totally get it why men sometimes stare at women's chest and claim that such behaviour is acceptable. Rain, you made me see that and yanked me out of my selfish oblivion, thank you for that. For if you were in front of me, I would ogle your body until you come and slap me. Even after that, I will just place my scattered eyeballs back into its sockets and continue ogling!

Oh I'm just so crazy about tall-slanted-eye-high-cheekboned Asian man!

Did you know I have an entire album of Lee Hom's tracks? Just because I thought he's so damnfahkin cute? I even memorize the songs, FF'sS!!! God bless all tall-slanted-eye-high-cheekboned Asian man!!

And God bless me my tall-slanted-eye-high-cheekboned Asian man, Mr. 8! I still remember my first elevator ride with him (didn't even know his name at that time). I wanted the wall to swallow me up or perhaps the floor to turn into quicksand cuz I swear my heartbeat was echoing throughout the small elavator. I exited the elavator with drenched slippery hands, palms literally dripping with sweat.

That's, tall-slanted-eye-high-cheekboned Asian man for me. I sound like a boy crazy teenager. HAHA. I'm just a girl, who just had the value of RM10 entertainment redefined. So please don't mind me.

Just for the record, I'mma watch Ninja Assassin again..

So Here’s the Deal…

A bar of organic soap priced at USD$ 7.50 seem very cheap to us, Malaysians. This is because we are accustomed to paying for things that are decently priced with at least two digits. In reality, when the price of that organic bar soap is converted to Malaysian Ringgit and have its shipping cost piled on, that bar soap can easily reach RM 30 if not more..

But I’m selling no bar soap here ladies…

Presenting…….. NOIRLILIANA at heavily slashed prices!!!

My Long Weekend

So I thought I wanted to sleep over my long weekend. Apparently NO. I havent slept yet and it's been 12 hours since I left the office.

I hope to be able to whip up a blog on the stuff I'm selling through the hols..

Oh God it's a bad idea to be blogging now. I havent slept in 24 hours. I'll be saying things I shouldn't. So I guess this is it..

I Am Pressed for Time to Blog

Seriously. I'll cram in whatever I can NOW.

So many things going on within a day. So many things I have to think of. So many things I have to read. So many things I have to do.

My room has been left untidied for more than a week. I only go back there to sleep. No more cooking, no more enjoying the company of my cute small fridge. I have forgotten the sheer joy of eating a juicy luscious looking pomegranate alone on my bedroom floor!

24 hours REALLY is not enough.

And the fact is, I barely sleep 6 hours a day since I don't know when. And I am very very tired. But of course, I can't be. Or more like not allowed to be tired. Hmmph!

I'm getting 2 days off end of this week and my brother plans to go back to Perak, but I really just want to sleep. Would it be too bad of me if I just really want to sleep?

And I really need to write up a post on My Year End Sale!!!! Serious true bargains from yours truly. I could seriously use the space in my room even when I sell off 1 moisturizer!

So watch out for that. Noirlilliana and SKII products to scream at whether because I'm selling it at a real dirt cheap price, or because somebody else had bought it before you at a real dirt cheap price, or because you get to be the one purchasing it a real dirt cheap price: well, that depends on your reaction when you see the blogpost. ( i am giving myself a headache with these different sizes of fonts)

That blog post will be up by next week, girlies..

So, I shall enlighten you with a review on Noirlilliana product by my sister. I have 6 of the products to let go. 3 of which barely 25% used and the remaining 3, had only been used twice.

Well, the SKII prods I'm letting go are Advanced Eye Treatment Film, Facial Treatment Repair C 15ml and Facial Lift Emulsion. You buy the first 2, I'll pack the third one together in. Price to be decided together in the post coming up next week....

Till the next time!

Lately..

I've been feeling uninspired to write. Like, I have a gazillion of things in my head but I just let it swell in my head as experience has thought me not to reveal your original ideas to the wrong people.. But of course I was lying when I said I let it swell in my head, I channel it out in ways that experience too, has thought me a better way of..

Well, albeit the fact that I said I am feeling uninspired to write I know well that I am supposed to write about the Intelligent Investor or discuss about my tummy as I had previously promised. But to garner enough confidence to review a chapter from the Intelligent Innvestor requires a minimum of 7 times reading that particular chapter, maybe investing isn't my cup of tea but that shouldn't hinder my putting more effort in trying. And about the tummy, the problem has been partially solved by headstands.

Partially, only. Rest assured, I am still looking out for the best way to fully conquer the problem.

So below are my current updates:

1. About the Books beside my Bed..

The fiction I am currently reading is Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. I must say, his thinking is way forward beyond his time and his detailed scrutiny is beyond Stephanie Meyer's Twilight (well, Twilight was the only one I could bear to read..). Great Expectation's is my first classic and I am very much enjoying it and somehow I am not anticipating to get over with the book as I did with most fiction. Can you tell me a Malay classic besides Salina, please? I should balance out my reading in both languages.. Other than that, I think I'd like to embark an interest in the History genre, for reasons that shall be concealed from the public. Wtf. Haha. No, I am just kidding, I think History is a beautiful form of story telling of human nature and tendencies.

2. About my Shhh-Shhhhhhh Secret Project

I was with Client #1, when we stumbled upon a shop that caters for my appetite of pretty, well-made things. The shop is a concoction of heavily perfumed body bath and lotions, crystal and engraved wood decor, cute dresses with 'skin-respecting' linings, Muslimah wear and best of all, handbags. And ready-to-wear Oscar De La Renta (I am typing a lot of hypens today..) Ok, I probably should explain what I mean by 'skin-respecting' lining first. I love dresses, and I like 'em cheap. But I have this annoyance with cute dresses with linings made just as an afterthought. But not at this shop.

Now, the handbags. They have Dooney & Bourke! So naturally, I had to buy one so I chose to buy its signature Tassel Tote as I was pressed for time. Nope, did not follow my 3-3-3 decision making rule.. And yep, did not even allocate any money for a handbag. But I made a justification that I might not get this anywhere else in Malaysia. And it's not like I was making an impulse purchase on a Fendi..

And did I mention ready-to-wear Oscar De La Renta? Oh, yes I did, the hypens stuff..

Whenever I see things that I didn't know are available in Malaysia, I get into this total pondan mode like I did in that shop.

3. "So ko memang dah taknak kawan ngan budak-budak U ko dah la skang ni??"
That was said to me through the phone last week. Like, I don't know how to put this nicely.. Let me just put it in one simple sentence. It is unfair to be talking when you are just stepping into somebody else's shoes, and not actually walking in those shoes.

4. Holidays!

Year end holidays are looming nearer and my Thanksgiving holidays are even nearer. Curtain call for 2009....

Investor and Inflation

I was 15 when the 0% Inflation campaign started. It was not much to my understanding, but I knew it had something to do with the impact of currency speculation and George Soros. But of course, I might have been wrong.

Due to my lack of understanding or (care to understanding), I was only prepped with an impression of what inflation is. Inflation is a bad thing.

So after reading the second chapter of the Intelligent Investor, I understand now that inflation is also a great indicator of growth. Suppose deflation happens, and all prices are marked down, how much money will the industry make? How much money can the gov receive by tax? How much money is the gov going to allocate for schools and RnD? How much more can the gov afford to supply the nation with the existing infrastructure? Do you dare to question the future now in the case of deflation?

Just like sugar, inflation is a good thing when taken in moderation. If inflation is as gradual as the economic growth, we see the nation prosper. When inflation is soaring and the economic is plunging, we will witness a high rise in crime rate as this is the catalyst to the rich getting richer, poor getting poorer stance.

So what does my Benjamin Graham say about this? Wealth is not something to be measured by your income. In contrary, it is measured by how much you keep after inflation.

The rate of inflation is not something that can be predicted over the year. So it is wise to diversify your investments into several buckets. Where common stocks may take a dip during inflation, the amount of money in savings account will be unmoved by it (but the value might be lower).

Other alternatives are gold and diamonds (but this would also incur storage and maintenance cost) as would property. For every purchase of investment outside the common stocks and bonds category, we should always have extra cash stashed for its fix-ups and unforeseen needs.

It is very important to note that a tried and tested investment today will not work as well as it did tomorrow. The only thing certain about investing and inflation is that, it won't stay the same

It won't stay the same.

Taking A Stand

Last week, I started on doing headstands to find out its impact on the waistline
To erect on a headstand, find a good spot where you can recline on the wall (for noobs like me).

1. Intertwine fingers and spread elbows out on the floor. Ensure the triangle shape formed is stable.

2. Place the mid part of the head on the floor. Intertwined fingers cupping the backside of the head.

3. Raise your butt by straightening your back and placing both feet flat on floor.

4. Walk your feet a few steps nearer until you feel the strain on you back.

5. Set your eyes on an immobile spot. Breathe easily. Raise one leg up then push the other up.
Stay in that position for as long as you can and notice that it is a good shake-me-up instantly.
I noticed less cravings for nonsense food, better quality of sleep, sharper mind (I welcome your doubt on this, hahaha) and also flatter tummy out of nowhere.
This is magic!
